'Workouts Gyms are privately owned and operated strength training and fitness gyms.

We opened in Keighley in 1991 and set about providing the best training methods and facilities for our clients.

Creating a great gym atmosphere and environment have always been important factors in our success so that clients can achieve their goals, feel welcome and at home in their surroundings.

In 2008 we expanded with our second Workouts Gym in Shipley and this Club stays true to these values, serving the wider Bradford district.

Both Gyms have fully equipped Cardio and Strength areas along with Studios that offer a wide range of classes.

Our aim is to provide cost-effective memberships, the foundations of which are built with high quality knowledge and experience and this is available to all our clients'.

Paul Royston

'I founded Workouts in 1991. I'm a former teacher of P.E and I am also a Professional Strength & Conditioning Coach having worked with Keighley Cougars, Halifax RLFC and Wakefield Trinity. I'm involved on a day-to-day with the clubs to ensure that we stay true the values of exceptional customer service and a family-friendly atmosphere.'

Justine Robinson

'I began at Workouts Health Club in 1997 having previously been an Instructor at a Ladies only Health Club,  where I had worked for 9 years. Over the years my role at Workouts has continued to evolve and I oversee the operational side of the business along with instructing a wide range of classes; specialising in step aerobics.'


Toby Williams

Toby has worked for Workouts for over 15 years alongside a professional Rugby Union career, originally with Championship outfit Rotherham Titans and he is now with Doncaster Knights for the 2018-19 season. He is a highly experienced Personal Training and Strength & Conditioning Coach and he is the General Manager at the Shipley Gym.

Tom Allen

'Having been a regular attending member at Workouts since 2009, it was in 2014 that I decided to broaden my knowledge of the fitness industry and joined the Workouts team. Since being at Workouts I have built a real passion for training and in particular powerlifting. I aim to help each client individually with their goals and needs to ensure they get the best care and attention, the same as I did when I first joined at Workouts. '

Beth Brunskill

Our Shipley Gym club manager who has been with Workouts since 2013. She manages the day-to-day operations at the gym on a part-time basis now she is a working Mum! Beth is a competitive distance runner and both a successful Personal Trainer and Studio/Class Instructor.

Yasmin Akhtar

'Since joining workouts in May 2015 as a staff member I feel that my passion for fitness and health has rubbed off on many members with regard to helping them achieve their goals. I have lost over 6 stones in weight over the last three years and helped many of my family members. I wish to inspire and share the journey of my shape transformation with the members of our club.'

Sonia Reeve

Sonia joined our team in 2017, she is an experienced gym and studio instructor and will run classes at the Keighley gym and at the Oakworth Juniors Football Club facility (initially at that location on Tuesdays & Thursdays, please see class timetable).

Arron Rodgers

Since joining Workouts in January in 2017 as a staff member I have completed my level 2 Gym Instructor course and I have started my level 3 Personal Training qualification. The Workouts team have had a huge influence in developing my confidence and skills to becoming a better instructor. Since being at Workouts I have built a massive passion for training and try to push members to achieving their goals as I have done at Workouts.

Jay Balanda-Bown

I am currently a Level 2 gym instructor and I have commenced my training to attain my Level 3 Personal Training qualification. I work hard to ensure the clients at Workouts enjoy their training as much as I do and I look to assist them in all aspects of their exercise routines/lifestyle.

Craig Whitaker BSc (Hons) Sport & Exercise Physiology

I fell upon a gym where professional boxers trained. One had won Gold in the Commonwealth Games and taught me the basics of weight-management, introducing me to a 3x British Champion bodybuilder, Team GB and a Mr Universe finalist who I began to work alongside. This sparked my interest in fat-loss and body composition leading to me going back to University to gain an honors degree in Sport & Exercise Physiology. Many courses, conferences, workshops, lectures, books, journals and hours trawling the internet later, here I am. I’ve been on the same journey that I’m now helping others to make, so I understand the challenges but also the reward at the end. I have developed a passion for helping people reset their approach to their diet and their health without being misled by false promises and the many unhealthy fat-loss myths people unfortunately believe.

Christopher Royston BSc Hons, MCSP, HPC

CR Physiotherapy provides specialist assessment, diagnosis and treatment for muscular and skeletal conditions. You will receive expert advice gained from years of experience treating a wide range of pain and injuries.  Whether it is a problem you have had for years, or a recently sustained injury, we will find the cause and put together a rehabilitation plan to solve it.

The clinic was set up in 2011 by current Bradford City AFC Club Physiotherapist Christopher Royston (BSc Hons, MCSP, HPC). Located in Workouts Health Club, the clinic has access to modern gym facilities and a fully equipped physiotherapy treatment room.
