I began training at Workouts in February 2015 and have a lost a total of 5 stone in weight and 10 inches off my waistline. The encouragement of the staff really helps and I have been training twice a week with Tom Allen who I cannot thank enough, he has helped me transform my life completely.

I have been a member of Workouts gym for just almost a year now – I predominately do the classes and I would recommend these to anyone. They are great fun with the right amount of encouragement from the workouts team – They know what they’re doing, and cater the workouts for the members that are in each class. You are never singled out or made to feel like you doing something wrong, but at the same time the workouts team are encouraging, and push you to challenge yourself in a good way – as long as your moving its better than doing nothing! While, you have a certain number of exercise to do, the content of the classes are always different each week, and provide enough variety not to get boring. They also push me beyond what I would do on my own at the gym, and after some classes, muscles have ached that I didn’t know I had. I love the group atmosphere, and while everyone is at different levels you are supported and encouraged. You never come away from a class wishing you’d have stayed at home. You have nothing to lose by trying a class.

The main reason for joining was to ‘get out of the house’ and be a little bit fitter! After just a few months I began to notice a difference in the feel of my clothes and, after a year, I have noticed significant improvements in my strength, energy, and overall fitness. I have also noticed a difference in my body shape, becoming more toned and lean. If you want to do more, the workouts team will also devise you your own personal workout routines, and are on hand to offer dietary advice – a really great all round service.

Gill Wilson:

I joined Workouts in April this year, I had only ever been to a ladies gym before and I was very apprehensive, I needn’t have been though after 5 minutes of being there I felt right at home. The staff (Jamie and Tom especially) are brilliant, nothing is too much trouble, they are there to help and they do just that. I get a new training program every few weeks so there’s no time to get bored, I train early in the morning and it sets me up for the day.

I’ve been struggling with weight issues for 30 years on and off, but joining Workouts was by far the best decision I’ve ever made by far. I got my act together and started eating healthier and training 3-4 times a week, and so far I’ve lost 2st 6lb!

I have been training since January 2015 at Workouts Gym. I started out wanting to get toned and feel healthy. Workouts wrote me routines that were tailored for my goals and I trained around 3 days a week for 45-60 minutes. When my wedding was approaching I decided I wanted to step it up a notch,  I was feeling great and I'd started to get the bug for the gym life and taking inspiration from other girls who have the body I desire. A sculpted, strong physique with curves ie: abs, legs and a booty. Since my wedding I have stepped it up even more and recently had my first fitness shoot....

Adam Shepherd:

I have been a member of workouts for several months, since I began the staff have great in making me feel welcome. I have regular catch ups with them to update my programme. They listen to what I want to achieve and advise how to change my programme to push me that little more each time. The staff are very easy to talk to and always on hand to give advice. The main reason I enjoy the training is the tidy environment; I have been to many gyms in the area and the team keep Workouts very tidy, the dumbbells and plates are always in order and you do not have to strip the bars when going to use a piece of equipment!

Kath Sutcliffe:

I began to lose weight in 2014 at home, I lost a stone but after that the weight would not move, therefore I decided to join a local gym. After much pondering around the gyms in Keighley I decided Workouts for me. Choosing a gym is not easy for me as I have a slipped disc in my lower back, but after a chat with the staff at the gym I was convinced that they could assist with my weight loss but more importantly my back. And how right they were!

Within a month the weight started to move and I could see the changes on my body. I had a tailor made routine which is changed regularly by the staff and now after 10 months I have lost a further 2 stone; going from a size 14/16 to 10. I sleep better, have much more energy and my posture is far better which helps my back tremendously.

The support and encouragement the staff (Jamie in particular) have given me has been great and I cannot thank the staff enough.

I became a member of Workouts after becoming unhappy at a larger gym. The staff at Shipley are very helpful and friendly. I really enjoy the spin classes that they run, as they are all very different and very hard!

In August 2015 I began personal training with Sam about 4 months ago and I have seen some great results; I have lost 10 pounds in weight and an overall inch loss of 11". 

Sam has encouraged me and made me gain confidence with weights and kettlebells that I wouldn't have done on my own. His technique to start small and build up is very useful and an easy way to improve, week on week.

Sam is very knowledgeable in the way he instructs - he shows how to do something and also why.

He has also been very helpful when I sustained a back injury (not gym related), showing me lots of stretches and strengthening exercises.

Overall, I am very pleased with Workouts, it's a proper gym.



I initially came to Workouts after I incurred an ankle injury which was preventing me from doing my usual outdoor running. I was keen to find alternative ways to train & maintain my fitness during this time until I was ready to get back outdoors. However, I have been so impressed by the club & its service that I have now become a full-time member of the club. I’ve been to the 'bigger' chain health clubs in the past but always felt lost in them. I have never come across a more friendly, helpful & encouraging team of staff as there are at Workouts. I love the 30/ 45min classes which are perfect for fitting in a quick intense training session when you have a busy schedule. I recommend Beth’s Intensity class and Ed’s Spin session.

Alongside the classes & CV work  - I decided to try personal training along to assist with my rehabilitation & speed up my recovery for running again. Sam & Tom have been brilliant in helping with this! They’ve carefully tailored the sessions with my goals in mind, helping me increase my fitness levels, build my strength & improve technique for my running. They have a wealth of knowledge and are very thorough, always taking time to explain not just ‘what’ we’re doing but ‘why’ we’re doing something. This has been helpful in deepening my understanding of my body for running and preventing further injuries. The sessions are challenging but very enjoyable, each one is different so it keeps me motivated & focused.   I’m now  back  to running outdoors but have continued the PT sessions & my membership as part of my weekly training because of how much I enjoy them and benefit from them. I am very grateful for finding Workouts Club and all these fantastic trainers.

Workouts is an excellent gym. Great facilities,  friendly atmosphere and a good range of classes to suit everyone. Since joining I've seen a big improvement in my strength and overall fitness. The one-to-one Sessions are brilliant, tailored to your needs, they really make a difference. Special mention goes to Beth, Ed and Sam. Friendly, good fun and great training knowledge.
